Helibike Rio Frio

We depart from our helipad with our bikes and guide aboard the helicopter. After a 20-minute flight across Lake Tagua Tagua and the dunes of the Puelo River, we turn north along the Manso River, then fly east beyond Cheyre Bridge. We follow Río Frío upstream from its confluence with the Manso River and land in the village of Frío. From there, we begin cycling across the rustic footbridge to the north side of Río Frío.

We follow a narrow dirt track used by ox carts, crossing small streams and ditches. Through the native forest, we catch glimpses of Río Frío’s clear waters. The route continues for 8 kilometres, with gentle ups and downs and little overall change in elevation. We cross a bridge over the Manso River and continue to its eastern bank, where the helicopter and our meal await. The return flight passes over La Junta and the waterfall in Tagua Tagua Park.
