Canyoning

The activity takes place at Barraco Waterfall, a 10-minute walk from the lodge. We follow the eastern bank of the Barraco River, cross the river and climb a short, steep trail to the upper waterfall. Our guide helps us put on the safety equipment, including a helmet, harness, gloves, appropriate footwear and a wetsuit if needed. Above the main waterfall, a second cascade feeds a pool suitable for swimming.
After the guide’s rappelling briefing and equipment checks, we descend the waterfall, which is approximately 40 metres high. A platform partway down connects to the trail, allowing us to repeat the descent. At the bottom, a spacious pool offers the chance to swim.
